This Winter Solstice, we gather at the edge of the longest night: three days of whimsy, wonder and movement woven through the darkness. Together, we honour the turning of the season, where new light begins its slow return.

As the solstice arrives, we remember that even in the dark, light is already being conceived. From shadow comes softness; from stillness, renewal. The days will stretch longer once more, and so we mark this threshold in celebration of night, of community, of dancing until we meet the light again; capturing the sun and sharing its warmth with those we love beside us.

Whether you wander with us for the entire weekend or step briefly into the glow for a single evening, there will be countless things to discover: moments of revelry, tenderness, magic, and mischief.

We - LUNA Blessings, Lady Muck, Buba Mara, and Dykes Dip - welcome you into this three-day Solstice festival. We are so excited to bring you a very special lineup of Live Acts, DJs, Performers, Installation artists, Cooks, and Creators who will fill these long nights with beauty, connection, and celebration. This is not a fleeting moment, but a slow burn - an invitation to linger in the hours we share, to move gently through the darkness, and to savour the many beautiful things our community has to offer.

Slowburn is a night dedicated to dykes* of all genders and is created specifically for our FLINTA community in Naarm. It is important that Slowburn prioritises this community. Winter Solstice occurs during Berrentak Darr-Karr - cold west wind & artefact making season, or Waring - Wombat season. We recognise the ongoing care of Wurundjeri of this Country and their knowledge systems, including astronomical. Sovereignty was never ceded.
